- world premiere -
3 - 4 November 2005
John Thaw Studio, Manchester
In a world where we no longer know how to forgive each other
and live in community, di Pauli offers us a lyrical tragedy
as a mirror to our own experiences. Two kings haunted by their histories,
a man eats his children, a golden ram breaks a woman's heart. Using
Seneca's Thyestes as a basis, Envision Theatre's new work will explore
the poetics of obsession and loss in society today.
The production is part of "A Haunting": a week-long, multimedia,
cross-university event from 29 October to 5 November 2005.
There was also be a question and answer session with writer, director
and composer, after the performance on Thurs 3rd Nov.
