"The body is no longer an obstacle that separates thought from itself,
which the thought must climb over in order to get to the point of thinking.
On the contrary, it is that in which one sinks, or must sink
in order to reach the unthinkable, that is, life."
(Gilles Deleuze)
Is it still possible to perform?
This is the question that we are asked ourselves, at the beginning of the idealisation of the DoGMA Project. And
i
f the answer is affirmative, how is it possible to do it? Which are the roads to follow, and which those to abandon? To reawaken a
theat
re that takes us to a catharsis, that is a precise and conscious response to this socio-economic-cultural empasse
th
at we are living. A theatre that places itself in the now and here, as a place for the reawakening of the consciousness
.
That, through action, the body transmits a profound reflection. A vocation for political theatre
and for social action. But at the same time that returns to the origins of representation. A theatre tha
t
wanders through the open sea, that doesn't have safeholds in form or method. That looks to apply
thought to the body. And the body to the scene. The ten points that we have called DoGMI [citing the
original master, Lars Von Trier] are borne from a profound reflection on the contemporay.
And on it's possible scenic transposition. Nothing exists any more. Only the ruins of an
a
b
andoned theatre. There, amongst the still burning ruins, we have decided to consecrate our holy temple.
